As quoted on the back of the plate: "This plate was commissioned by the Leicestershire constabulary to commemorate Gala Day 1982. Designed by Brian Hollingshead and produced by The Worcester Royal Porcelain co. Ltd in a limited edition of 750 This is plate number 246"
